  • Churches United in Christ is a joint ministry of several downtown Bowling Green churches. They provide assistance with utilities and other crisis matters to persons or families in need under a set of guidelines. Each church is a “host” church one time of the month. SSUMC is a host the first full Wednesday of each month from 1-3 pm. All financial support for this Ministry is provided by the member churches through tithes, donations, and fundraising activities. Help ministries is always in need of people willing to give their time once a month to help with greeting or interviewing our guests or data entry in the computer.

  • ANGEL TREE
  • Angel Tree is a program of Prison Fellowship that allows incarcerated parents a pathway to strengthen or restore their relationships with their children and families. Prison Fellowship works with those who are in prison and want to participate in the program. The organization sends a list of children whose parent wants to provide a gift and a message to their child. Names of the children are placed on a Christmas tree and Church members select an angel and buy a Christmas gift for the child. The program gives our church the opportunity to share Christ’s love and the spirit of Christmas with these families.
