Wednesday Night Gathering

Join us on Wednesdays during the school year for Food, Fellowship, and Bible Study.  We gather in Fellowship Hall for supper at 5:20 p.m.  Bible Studies start at 6 p.m.  

Fellowship Hall:  Pastor Paul will present  "Principles for Guidance"   a bible study from the book of Acts.  

Library:  The Ladies Bible Study Group will meet.  

Adam Potter will lead "REEL 2 REEL-Making Hollywood Cinema Practical to Everyday Life!"  a movie bible study in the Discussion Classroom next to Fellowship Hall.

 

Bible Fellowship Group

The Bible Fellowship Group meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of the month at the homes of the members.  Watch the Church bulletin for meeting locations.

Monday Morning Bible Study

The Monday Morning Bible Study meets at 10:00 a.m. on Monday mornings during the school year in the Church Library.  Everyone is welcome.

United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom through Jesus Christ.

SSUMC UMW Unit Meetings:

All meetings take place in Fellowship Hall.  The Executive Committee will meet 1 hour prior to the the General Meeting.

United Methodist Men
The United Methodist Men is a fellowship of men who seek to grow spiritually and to seek God's will.

State Street's UM Men meet for breakfast once a month on Saturday morning from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.  The men usually meet on the fourth Sunday of the month during the school year and take the summer off.  State Street's UM Men sponsor the Fore the Lord Golf Tournament as a fundraiser for missions, and they host a community pancake breakfast in December.

Faith Builders

 Faith Builders provides a fellowship opportunity for all adults. Refreshments are served, and a program is presented at most meetings.  Occasionally, special activities will be scheduled in lieu of a meeting in Fellowship Hall.  Faith Builders meet the third Sunday of the month at 5 p.m.

Faith Builders Schedule:

 

February 21 - "Tea with Mary Todd Lincoln" will be presented at 5 p.m. in Fellowship Hall (Tea will be served)

March 20 - Meet at the Corvette Museum for a guided tour (admission is $5 if we have more than 15 in our group.)  Lunch is  available for $8.

April - Hotrods game if there is enough interest.  Date and time to be announced later.

May 21 - Meet at the Phoenix Theater for "Dixie Swim Club."  (Order tickets by May 14, call 781-3861)

June 20 - Election of Officers.  Potluck meal at 5 p.m., location will be announced.
